Practicalities - What to expect, what to bring etc

What you will need to bring

  • Bottom Sheets
  • Duvet Covers
  • Bath Towels (we supply kitchen towels and tea towels)

The layout and number of beds is on our accommodation pages

You might also want to bring with you

  • Toilet Paper (there is usually some in the house, but we can not guarantee this)
  • Kitchen Roll
  • Coffee and tea
  • Dishwasher tablets (we try to leave some but can not guarantee this)

Plus, of course all the usual things you need for your holiday. Here's our own personal check list in case you find it useful.

Facilities

Just to remind you, the cottage has the following facilities

  • Freezer
  • Microwave
  • Hair Dryer
  • TV, Video and DVD
  • CD Player
  • Washing Machine
  • Tumble Dryer

Oil, electricity, coal, logs etc

These are included in the price of your stay

Telephone

The house has a telephone number for incoming calls. You can also make outbound calls on it, charges are detailed in the information sheet you will receive when you book. (We aim simply to cover costs of the calls.)

Mobile phone reception is "on the edge." Vodafone, seems OK, while T-Mobile and its associated virtual networks like Virgin seem to get reception only in one of the upstairs bedrooms or in the garden! Perhaps someone could let us know about O2 and Orange.
